Prime95.xyz is an independent documentation resource about the Prime95 CPU stress test. It is not affiliated with George Woltman or GIMPS. This page explains what data the site collects when you visit and how it is used. You can contact the site operator at [email protected].
Comments and Contact Messages
This site does not offer public user accounts. If a comments feature is enabled on an article, the name, email address and message you submit are stored together with your IP address and browser user agent string to help with spam detection.
If you contact us by email, we receive your email address and the contents of your message. We use them only to respond to your inquiry, and we do not add you to any mailing list.
Downloads and Link Tracking
Download buttons on this site use tracked redirect links. When you click a download link, the click is counted in aggregate — which link was clicked and when — so we can see which packages are actually used. The Prime95 files themselves are hosted by third parties (mersenne.org and Terabox), which have their own privacy policies.
Cookies
This site is delivered through Cloudflare, which may set security and performance cookies and process your IP address to protect the site against abuse.
WordPress sets cookies for logged-in site administrators. Ordinary visitors do not need an account, and no public registration is offered.
We review aggregate traffic statistics, such as page views and search queries reported by search engines, to improve the guides. These reports do not identify individual visitors to us.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the public pages of this site will continue to work.
Links to other websites
Some pages link out to third-party websites, including mersenne.org (the official Prime95 source) and Terabox (a file mirror). When you follow such a link, that website’s own privacy policy applies.
Some outbound product links on this site may be affiliate links. If we earn a commission from a purchase made through such a link, it does not change the price you pay, and the affiliate relationship is disclosed on this site.
Who we share your data with
We do not sell personal data. Data is processed by the services that operate this site, including our hosting provider and Cloudflare (content delivery and security). Email you send us is processed by our email provider.
How long we retain your data
Server logs and download-link click counts are kept in aggregate form for site statistics.
Contact messages are kept only as long as needed to handle the inquiry. You may ask us to delete a message you sent at any time.
What rights you have over your data
You can request a copy of the personal data we hold about you — for example, an email you sent us — or ask us to delete it, by writing to [email protected]. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
